PUNCTUATION!

Hey bloggers,

Today I’m going to tell you about punctuation and the importance of it!!

COMMAS (,)

Now commas are very important, they give you a small pause while you’re reading a piece of text, and sometimes they just make the sentence make sense. Actually, they can save your life….we’ll sort of!! Here is an example of when comas can save your life…..can we eat mum? Or, can we eat, mum? Which statement do you think is correct?

Commas can also be used when you are listing a group of words, for example. Some of my favourite colours are, blue, orange, green and pink.

TALKING MARKS (”  “)

Talking marks are great because they tell you who is talking It’s that simple, although it is hard to remember where to put them, but it is still a great way to show who is speaking, here is an example of when you would use talking marks!! “HURRY UP!!” Olivia screeched!!

QUESTION MARK (?)

a question mark is put at the end of a sentence if you are asking a question, even if it is a rhetorical question. Here are some examples of when you would use a question mark.

-Do you love chocolate?

-Don’t you just love chocolate?

 EXCLAMATION MARK (!)

An exclamation mark puts some excitement into your text, and can describe the feeling of the character.  When there is an exclamation mark in the text, you have to speak with more expression!! Some examples of when you would use an exclamation mark are….”

– I’m so excited!

– I’m so angry!

FULL STOP (.)

Full stops are used at the end of a statement. When you see a full stop you can take a breathe, small break, before starting the new sentence!! An example when you would use a full stop is, My favourite colour is blue.

So I hope you have learnt a little bit about puntuation! So please comment and tell me what you have learnt and what you thought about this post!!

The perfect thing is smarties,

for when you go to parties!

Give your lolly-pop a lick,

So now you see how lollies are great,

you can serve them for dinner on your plate!

So……what did you think of my lolly poem?

Prayer of Thanksgiving

When I fall asleep at night,

I Thank you, God, for being by my side.

When I struggle, but then succeed,

I Thank you, God, for being by my side.

When I feel upset and hurt,

I Thank you, God, for being by my side.

when I see the world around me,

I Thank you, God, for being by my side.

When remember things that bring tears to my eyes,

I thank you, God, for being by my side.

Upcycling is the way to go

Do you know how easy it is to turn trash into treasure?

The way you can do this is by UPCYCLING!

Upcycling is a fantastic way to not waste your rubbish, and to turn trash into treasure (as from what I said before) and I personally strongly feel that upcycling is the way to go!

Around 50,000 aussie kids are getting involved and upcycling their waste! The way they do this is instead of throwing out their recyclables and waste, they fiddle with it to make something certainly very more useful than just sitting in the dump!

If you really think about it, upcycling could make you famous! The reason for this is because you can create stunning art pieces from all the waste.  Imagine if you gathered up everything you threw out, I’m sure at least half of  the things in your junk pile you could turn into a beautiful art pieces!

So if you don’t start upcycling, who knows what the future holds for our world!

Thanks for reading my post! Please comment and tell me what you think about upcycling!
